Galaxies can dance. Here two of them tango through mutual gravitational influence. This is probably the smaller galaxy's first pass as an interloper. Subsequent orbital revolutions will further disrupt the regular spiral appearance of the larger galaxy until they merge. These galaxies are approximately 25 million light years away.
