The Lagoon of Lagoons - Metal Print

During the summer months, the center of the Milky Way stands front and center in our skies, the number of stars so vast that the shape can be seen in relatively bright skies. The center of the Milky Way is cut a dark lane of dust and gas that some mythologies call a river in the sky. In this picture, you can see that that river is not only rich with stars but also nebulae including the Trifid (M 20) and Lagoon nebula (M 8) as well as the Omega (M 17) and Eagle Nebula (M 16) toward the lower left.
